New Year

The new years is a festivity that is celebrated around the world. This celebration begins in the last day of all years and its finished the first day of the year.
We can celebrated of different form, in different parts and whith different people, ever years is different. The part that is typical ,in my experienceis , the dinner, in this moment I stay whith my family, we are a lot of and the differente generation so in this moment we talk about different experiences that hace happened in the year and we prepare for the nex years. In the dinner you can eat a lot, generaly is turkey ar chicken whitg different salad. I always eat a lot of food.

Then when the twelve o'clock at night we open the champagne and the celebration start. In this moment the people you can make different traditiosn like eating lentils for to hace money in teh year or you can walk on the stree whith suitcase for to travel long in the year

This festivities is important because give you the posibility to forget the bad things of the years, you can see you family and you can think about the last year reflexively and you can draw many conclusion that you can use in the new year.

Finally, I like this celebration because is a moment that you share whith people that is important for you and you can eat a lot.

The "Centro de Estudios Sociales Construccion Critica" is a social organization of the faculty of Social Sciences. This group does different activities about social scienes as tools for social change. Its website is www.construyendocritica.uchile.cl.

The website has diferent sections. The first part is the begin, and we can see the different activities of this organization, its promote, new documents of work. The second section is "Nosotros"in this part ther organization show its stament of principles, this is about the form like them work. The next section, is my favourite part, that is the virtual library, in this part you can find texts of diferent authors and topics, but always in relation whith social science. The texts that you can see show you a critital perspective. Then, the section library Pedro Ortiz, show you a list of books and DVDs that you can and you can order them and take them home. The next secction is about publication of work and research of this organization and work of university of different student of this faculty. The secction link is the next, in this part you can find links the organizations, virtual journals and other vittual library. The last section is about the contact and you can send an e-mail if you are interested of this.

I visit this web principle when I do diferents works for my carrer, sociology, because this sites give me a differetens text that I can not find of the library of my university, and i find text that show me other perspective of society events that happening now. Because that I like this website.

My favorite singer

My favorite singer is Victor Jara, he was a big revolutionary because he could show the reality in his song. He was an important chilean musician ho was killed during the military dictatorship in the nacional stadium.

Victor Jara was more than a singer, he was a composer to, that's why when he sings he should his heart and he could touch the people.

I don`t kwon exacly what kind of music he played, I would say that is music folk, but the most importat is that his music is about social protest and the feeling of The People.

I like his music because I think that his creation are wonderful and simple. And I like because I always thought that the music should be an expresion of the major problems of the society such as inequality and Victor Jara could show that.

Earthquake in Chile

I live in 9th floor of a building, so when the earthquake started I stayed in my home. I was alone because my mam and my sister are in other country. My mum was in canada visited her sister, and my sister was in Uruguay because she was taking a dance course. My dad was in his house, in Maipú. When ever hapened, I stayed in the bed of my Mam, and the only thing that I did was call to my dad, I called him 3 times until the phone stop working. Then I went to my neighbor, because she have a son can not walk, an I was preocupation for him. 30 minutes of the earthquake my dad came to my house and he and reassured me. In the day, i went to my family of Santiago.
